About Me & My Work

My name is Tanya Duarte and I am a mixed media artist, born and raised in Brazil. I began my journey with art early on and started out drawing, then painting, then sculpting and soon developed an urge to combine all the techniques and mediums together to manifest the often overwhelming stream of creativity that flows through me. My insatiable curiosity and drive to create have led me to craft a variety of products such as drawings, paintings, lamps, sculpted shadow boxes, unique glow jewelry,hats and more.

At the moment I am known for my "Glow With The Flow" collection of glow in the dark jewelry and accessories that combine high quality stainless steel charms and pendants with true glow in the dark resin, which has a stained glass effect in the day, and will glow at night. Any light will charge my pieces, even daylight or a regular flashlight, but they will glow up intensely in UV light, and certain colors will glow for up to 12 hours once fully charged.

I use mostly local materials and do my best to be ethical when sourcing materials overseas, buying bulk to reduce my carbon footprint and always doing my best to give back to nature where I can. I donate to plant a tree with every purchase of my work to support a reforestation program created by Ana Carolina Rezende through her "Tecendo Florestas" project that reforests native tribe land in Brazil.
